Are all PSAs self-serving?
Who knows? But this PSA is self-serving because I am hella looking forward to the whole month of March, which -despite the smarch weather- is killing it.
Firstly, there is the London launch of Jake's awesome new book, The Testament of Cyprian The Mage.
It's March 1st at Atlantis Bookshop (RSVP to the shop email address). Where else, eh?
Jake will be there to drink and sign books. I will also be there drinking and signing Jake's book until Geraldine ejects me from the store for defacing books. I believe someone said something about Diana Ross being there? Kidding, of course! We haven't spoken in years so she's not invited. (She knows what she did.)
Glasto Cyprian Launch
Is one book launch enough for a tome as
lengthy awesome as Cyprian? Probably not. So you should also come to Labyrinth Books in Glastonbury at 7pm on March 21st, the eve of the Occult Conference, to drink and talk shop with Jake and other conference attendees.
In the interest of full disclosure, I will have realistically got a pretty good buzz on by 7pm -it's Glasto, after all- , so I'll be looking to have excited, oversharing conversations with other wizards. But there are also pleasant reasons for attending. Attend!
The Occult Conference
Oh, how convenient. You'll already be in Glastonbury? THEN YOU SHOULD TOTALLY COME TO THE OCCULT CONFERENCE on that same weekend: Saturday March 22 to be precise.
The Occult Conference -or 'Sefcon' as I am desperately trying to get everyone to call it- still has Hall tickets available. (There may be an opportunity to get into some of the strands if people have dropped out on the day. But whatever. I only have a Hall ticket. They're still awesome.)
But what makes the Hall ticket really good is that it is also a Jupiterian Ball ticket... on that same night, which I am certainly going to. What's so fucking great about this ball, then? Well, I asked Sef -he of 'Sefcon' (use it)- that exact question and this is what I got:
- Firstly, there will be fundraising for the White Spring in Glastonbury. You may not have heard but some fuckmooks kicked in the doors to the sanctuary.
- Peter J Carroll and Matt Kabryn will be there to launch and celebrate their new book, Epoch. So you are aware, if they run out of copies and you have one... I will cut you.
And in the late-breaking news:
- This dimension's very own Professor Dumbledore, Ronald Hutton, will also be attending!
Amazing. What have you possibly got going on in your life in March that could top any of this? Nothing, that's what. So come to all these things. March is a Liz Lemon party!
