And you all thought I forgot about this, huh? Well, the joke's slightly on you and mostly on me because, actually, what happened was that I just got so busy over the last few months that I did not get even a single weekend to myself to go find the others and then ended up getting severely ill as a result of all my busy-ness. Boom.
This one is a bit special for several reasons. Firstly, it is the first non-British guest on the series. All the inimitable Carl Abrahamsson had to do was have a thirty year career in Sweden's art and occult world, befriend Anton LaVey, join TOPY, run TOPYSCAN, launch and then re-launch a popular occult magazine, The Fenris Wolf, write a fantastic new book called Reasonances and then come to London for its launch party.
The second reason is that I may or may not have drunk-bought a camera in NYC recently. Let me explain... when I was at film school, all I wanted was a consumer-level camera that prioritised audio rather than video. You will note camcorders sell themselves on image quality but the audio always sounds like a mental patient doing his or her best Lost in Space impression down a PVC pipe. Apparently it took the final few death rattles of the camcorder age for a couple of companies to realise that the internet is 55% untalented musicians and 20% home-made YouTube channels teaching you how to apply make-up... and that audio is important to this horrible demographic.
So I now have a camera that takes nothing but super-wide-angle images (which I actually quite like) but records audio better than my old TASCAM. It took till then end of 2014 but my 1999 dream finally came true! It seriously is just talking heads. You don't have to watch it. Just leave the tab open, I'm not the boss of you.
